Industrialists were key to the success of Industrial Age of America. Today we studied the impacts of Carnegie, Rockefeller, Morgan, and Vanderbilt. Tomorrow, we will look deeper into whether there were some harmful effects of their rise to success.

Welcome to the third quarter! We got things started today with Industrialization! We discussed corporations, major industries of the late nineteenth century (and the dangers involved with them), and began learning about how corporations created monopolies to make money!

We're getting ready for our midterm! Today students work on their review guide. It is attached below. The test will be comprised of 50 Regents multiple choice questions and will take place on Friday, 1/12.
Reconstruction is over! Today we discussed how Reconstruction came to an end due to the Compromise of 1877. We also examined Reconstruction's aftermath---Jim Crow Laws and the Plessy v. Ferguson decision.

Today we discussed the Radical Republicans' plans for Reconstruction. We also discussed some of the problems that were encountered in the South politically during Reconstruction.
