Happy Halloween! Today we started listening to a podcast about John Marshall and the case that started it all: Marbury v. Madison. You can listen to it here. The questions to guide our listening are attached below. We will continue listening and discussing tomorrow.

Today the class took the Period 3 test. It is comprised of 40 multiple choice questions.
Today we finished discussing the Adams Presidency and the election of 1800. We even looked at some "campaign commercials" from the very nasty campaign!

Today we discussed Hamilton's financial plan as well as foreign policy during Washington's presidency.

Today we finished discussing the Constitutional Convention as well as the Federalists vs. the Antifederalists and we got a bit into Washington's presidency. Since there will be an assembly on Friday during 2nd and 3rd period, our test will be moved to Monday.

I think that a great lesson to be learned is to never get kidney stones! Thank goodness I am feeling better and I was back in school today!

Eek! I've been out the past 3 days! While I was out, students worked on Reading Guide 3.3 as well as an assignment differentiating between Federalists and Antifederalists using the Documenting US History book (attached below).
Today we discussed the Articles of Confederation and its weaknesses.
